Students at last year’s performance
Staff and students at Rochdale Sixth Form College are preparing for an action-packed evening of entertainment at their annual Christmas production – Festive Fusion II.
Eighty Year 12 and 13 students will be showcasing the skills they’ve honed during the College’s enrichment classes, carried out alongside their A Level studies, which include dance, drama and music.
The College’s dancers will show off their ballet, jazz and Bollywood dance skills; drama students will perform an extract from the College’s theatre company 'Act on It'; while the Rochdale SFC choir and rock band will flex their vocal chords, singing an extract from the College’s upcoming musical of We Will Rock You – due to launch in March of next year.
Gerard Garvey, Curriculum Area Leader for Arts and Technology at Rochdale Sixth Form College, comments, “We’re lucky to have such a dedicated group of students here at the College, all with such a diverse range of skills and talents.
“With the amount of hard work, and practice which has gone into the production, it really does promise to be a great night, jam packed with festive entertainment.”
The students will take to the stage on Thursday and Friday (15-16 December) at 7.30pm. Tickets are £3.00 and available from the college.
