Many thanks to Peshkar Theatre Company who joined us last week to perform their latest piece, 'Not Any Drop' to our Year 8 learners. The year group watched the compelling performance about the impact of climate change and participated in a short question and answer session with the cast.

Congratulations go to Nazish Begum, Adnan Mohammed and Yaseen Ahmed who are the winners of our CEPA Faculty Olympic 2012 Cartoon Strip Competition judged this week. The three entrants created impressive pieces of cartoon work featuring the Olympic 2012 mascots, Wendlock and Mandeville. Each wins a certificate and a limited edition Olympic 2012 figurine of the mascots. Well done!

Letters for the pantomime cast party are issued to Year 10 and 11 students who participated in the show. The party will take place at Pizza Hut at Sandbrook Park on Wednesday. The students will be joined by CEPA Learning Champions and CEPA Award Winners and guests. We look forward to a great time!

Many thanks to Norman Warwick of Just Poets for his recent review of our Year 7 CALL PSHEE Day in his e-magazine, 'All Across The Arts'. Norman generously pointed out the merits and value of educating learners about the justice system with a genuine Justice of Peace in the classroom and the fun that could be had through teaching justice using the poem 'Albert and the Lion'!

BTEC Drama Year 11 Assessments take place this week as pupils perform their 'Kitchen Sink Drama' pieces as part of a final assessment. Well done to all the learners who have given up time to undertake additional rehearsal. Please ensure that you have all your prop and costume items ready!
