All the Year 7 pupils who went to watch Dick Whittington in Bury on Tuesday had a wonderful time and behaved brilliantly as usual. Keep your eyes open for more visits!
All Year 11 pupils who want a Year Book to remember their friends and happy times at school, must have their £5 deposits in school by Friday 9th December. Deposits should go to the Pupil Reception office. If enough people want the books we will order them on Monday 12th December.
Our own school Pantomime “Sleeping Beauty” will be held in school on Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th December, starting at 7pm. Tickets are now on sale at school and are available in the CEPA office. We hope you will be able to support us by buying a ticket and coming along to watch it. “oh yes we do!!”
Many thanks to M6 Theatre Company who came into school this week to speak to selected Year 8 students. Rowen Davies from M6 spoke to learners about opportunities in the theatre and youth theatre in the region. The group also played several drama games. Students aged 12 to 14 who are interested in contacting Rowen further should use the information flier provided at the session. More cards are available from the CEPA Office.
This Monday sees us welcome Susan Phillips into FPHS for a Drama and Religious Education Training Session for Primary and Secondary staff. Mrs Phillips is a renowned RE consultant in the North West and we hope that she will leave us all inspired with fresh ideas for teaching. The training takes place from 3pm until 5pm on Monday 5th of December. Please contact Mr De Courcey at school for more details.
Many learners in year 7 have received certificates for their CALL Learning over the last few weeks. We would like to congratulate them on their excellent attitude to work and challenge and we look forward to seeing more impressive work over the next few months. More certificates will be issued later in the year.
Many thanks to all the learners who submitted entries for the CEPA Olympics Cartoon Storyboard Competition which closed yesterday. The judges will select three best entries and issue each winner with a certificate and a limited edition collectable Olympic figurine. The winners will be notified shortly.
Copies of our Community Events Calendar are now available at a range of local primary schools, Touchstones and community centres. If you would like a copy, then please contact us directly at school for a paper version. There are a range of activities for all ages, from adult learners to primary children.
