Rochdale Unitarian Church
This week at Rochdale Unitarians
On Saturday 3 December the Cultural Group will be visiting Browsholme Hall near Clitheroe. The December outing of the walking group will be a short walk from the Inn at Whitewell, which will give plenty of time to visit Browsholme Hall with the Cultural Group. Please bring a packed lunch. Meet at church at 10 am on Saturday 3 December. (Information from Helen - 649015.)
The Modern Sequence Dance will stat at 7.15pm on Saturday 3 December. The whist drive starts at 6.45pm.
All are welcome at the Toy and Gift service on Sunday 4 December. Gifts of toys will be taken to Bridgefold Lodge, a local children’s home.
Monetary gifts will this year be donated to the Send A Child to Hucklow (SACH) fund. SACH is a Trust which arranges and administers holidays at the Unitarian Holiday Centre, Great Hucklow, Derbyshire for groups of disadvantaged children, having no
regard to religious, political, racial and other considerations. SaCH is this year celebrating 50 years of providing holidays.
The Book Circle will meet at 7.30pm on Monday 5 December for its Christmas meeting, when we will be discussing The Guernsey Literary and Potato Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer before enjoying an Italian take away. (Information from Helen - 649015.)
The monthly Wednesday Afternoon Tea will take place at 4.30pm on Wednesday 7 December. It will be followed at 5.15pm by the Stitch 'n' Chatter group, and at 7 pm by the Women's League Christmas Meeting.
Join us on Saturday 10 December for the Phoenix Group Christmas Lunch. This will be a three course buffet lunch, with the usual array of home-made desserts, all for £8 (£1 for children). Please book your places (Helen - 649015 or via church - 648461), and be seated by 11.45am.
Morning service starts at 10.30am on Sunday 11 December, and will be led by the minister, Rev Gillian Peel. All are welcome.
