What is happening in the classroom?

Spotlight on language and grammar:

  • Next week our focus is on Christmas acrostics and other festive word and sentence fun.

Parents and carers please spare ten minutes or more per night with your child to support the work that the children are doing in school.

We strive to instil within the children a sense of belonging within a range of communities and for them to play an active role as members of society.

Sporting Events

Our Basketball team, made up of Jack; Fabio; Shawn; Octavio; Miriam and Sara, played games against Norden Primary and Holy Trinity at Oulder Hill School. We played extremely well winning two games against Norden and Holy Trinity.
The scores were St John’s 8 : Norden 0; St. John’s 4 : Holy Trinity 0.

Well done team.

Sacrament of Reconciliation

The children who are currently making their faith journey through the Sacramental programme are receiving Reconciliation at a special service in St John’s Church. The service begins at 3.15pm. Parents please assemble at school for 3pm and we will walk across together to Church.

KS2 Music Concert will take place in church at 9.15am on the morning of Monday 12th December. The theme is one of African songs and dance from Cameroon.

Golden Book Awards

The Golden Book awards are for children have tried their best in all areas with politeness and respect.

Foundation 2: Alisa and Basit
Reception/1: Jovi and Kaiden Lee
Class 1: Van and Hammad
Class 2: Emedi and Karina
Class 3: Shane and Teegan
Class 4: Maria and Vera
Class 5: Bilal and Rowan
Class 6: Caroline and Elizabeth

Awards went to Class F2 for highest attendance and Class 3 for good behaviour in and around the school.
