Residents attend fire safety event

The Home Fire Safety Training Course was delivered by Gary Thomas and colleagues
Members of the community have attended a Home Fire Safety Training Course at Castlemere Community Centre.
The course, organised by the BME Fire and Safety Education Association and the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, was delivered by Fire Service training officer Gary Thomas.
The course informed over 40 members of the BME community about the importance of having smoke alarms in the home, safety and prevention measures and relevant contact information for the fire service.
Residents were provided with a booklet in Urdu and forms to apply for smoke alarms.
