St Cuthbert’s R.C Business & Enterprise College
The Enterprise word of the week is, “Determination” and the Year 7 pupils will also be concentrating on the Enterprise skill of “Teamwork.”
Rehearsals for West Side Story continue. Staff and pupils are busy at lunchtimes, after school and in the evening to create the high standard of show that is now expected of the college. Tickets will be on sale soon.
Year seven news:
This week’s attendance challenge was won by 7.5 Mr Lockett’s form with 99 per cent. Well done to everyone in that form.
The competition “You have to be in to win!” was won by Holly Johnson in 7.4. Congratulations to Holly.
Mrs Whitmore presented the year seven assembly which focused on success.
Thanks to the following year eight pupils, Joel Thetford, Sophie Ullah, Alex Mellor, Anya Howard - Cofield and Bradley Gateley who shared with year seven the successes they had achieved whilst in year 7.
Well done to Ellen Chrimes form 7.3 who came first in a Rochdale schools rowing competition.
Congratulations to the year seven girls 5 a side football team who took first place in the Rochdale schools football tournament. Finally we wish good luck to the year seven boys 5 side footballers who are through to the final of the cup.
On Thursday morning John Pridmore is coming in to speak to the whole of Year eleven. He is an ex gangster who had a faith, conversion experience. He has written from Gang Land to Promised Land.
On Thursday evening from 4.00pm until 10.00pm the sixth form are doing a bag pack at Morrisons in Rochdale to raise money for Lourdes. Please support if you can.
