Teenager arrested after taxi driver’s throat slit

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with an attack on a taxi driver in Middleton.
The 16-year-old boy was arrested at an address on Parkfield, Middleton, on Wednesday night. He remains in police custody for questioning.
Shortly after 9.30pm on Tuesday (15 November) a 39-year-old man had his throat cut by a robber who then stole his car, a black Vauxhall Vectra.
The car was involved in a collision with a parked car moments later and the offender ran away from the scene.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries and has since been discharged.
