St Edwards C of E Primary School
National Blind Children’s Society:
We are trying to raise money to support this charity by guessing where the soft toy ‘Hippo’ comes from. Guesses are £1 a go and Mrs. Taylor will be around after school.
St. Aidan’s Church, Sudden:
Christmas fair and coffee morning this Saturday, 19 November 11am - 2pm in aid of Alzheimer’s Society. Lots of stalls; tombola; raffle; cards; toys; games; books and refreshments, etc. All very welcome.
Music Lessons:
Please ensure your children bring their musical instruments in each week as lessons will still be charged for. Lessons are now £2.85 per week. Any outstanding music fees in order for lessons to continue.
Dinner Money:
Lunches are now £1.80 per day - £9.00 per week and should be paid on a Monday morning. Please send dinner money in an envelope with your child’s name and class on. There is a copy of the menus on our school portal. Next week we are on Week 2.
PTA Meeting:
Our next meeting is on Monday 21st November at 6pm. Everyone welcome.
Morrison’s Vouchers:
If you have an ‘Lets Grow’ vouchers, could you please send them in as soon as possible as they have to be sent off by the end of November.
St. Martin’s Church:
St. Martin’s Church are having their Christmas Fair on Saturday 26 November 11.30-1.30pm. Admission 30p or buy a lucky programme.
Doorstep Project:
The play bus will be on Castleton Community Centre Car Park every Tuesday at 3.30pm – 5.30pm. There will be lots of Free activities for children.
KS2 Scholastic Book Club:
Any orders need to be returned to school, with the correct payment, by Monday 21st November. If parents would like to collect orders from the office rather than them being given to children, please let us know. Thank you.
Christmas Fair:
We are holding our Christmas Fair on Friday 2nd December after school.
We are now collecting donations for ‘Good as New’, toys, books, etc.
If anyone has any contacts for donations for our raffle we would really appreciate it.
Pint Pots:
Your child has received a plastic pint pot which please fill with sweets, pens, crayons, pencils, hair accessories, small new toys, etc – we will be selling them at the fair. Thank you.
Non-Uniform Day:
We are having a non-uniform day on 25 November for donations of chocolate for the Chocolate Hamper and bottles for the bottle tombola.
Get your child’s hair cut and help to raise money for school:
If any child from our school has their hair cut at Regalia Hair on Manchester Road, the owner Ruth has generously offered to donate all the takings to school funds. Cuts are £5. If you would like to book an appointment, phone Ruth on 346347.
