Woman fined over waste disposal

A woman from Middleton has been fined after being found guilty of failing to take reasonable steps to ensure that her household waste was disposed of properly.
Victoria Holdsworth, of Grey Street, was found guilty at Rochdale Magistrates’ Court of depositing excess bags of waste next to her wheeled bin at her waste collection point. The bags were subsequently found fly-tipped on a nearby car park.
Ms Holdsworth was ordered to pay fines and costs totalling £500.
