Band prepares for championships

The Co-operative Milnrow band is well into rehearsals in preparation for its third consecutive appearance at the Scottish Open Brass Band Championships in Perth, Scotland on Saturday 26 November.
Under Musical Director Marieka Gray the band will be competing against 16 other top class bands from around the UK.
The band is hoping to impress the adjudicators with its version of the test piece "Music for Battle Creek" by Philip Sparke.
Band President, Ken Watts, said: “All concerned are looking forward to a weekend break over the border and wish the band every success in its endeavours.”
