Staff Inset/Review Day:
Tuesday, 15th November is Review Day. You will have been given a 10-15 minute appointment time to come into school with your child to discuss their targets. It is really important that you make these meetings. Thank you.
There will be Free refreshments available in the dining room.
Operation Christmas Child:
Shoe boxes need to be in by Friday 18th November at the latest. Thank you.
Anti-Bullying Week and Children-In-Need:
Next week is Anti-Bullying Week and Friday is Children-In-Need Day. We will be running competitions linking these two themes. The children will get more information about the competitions and the cost at Monday’s assembly.
National Blind Children’s Society:
We are trying to raise money to support this charity by guessing where the soft toy ‘Hippo’ comes from. Guesses are £1 a go and Mrs. Taylor will be around after school.
Music Lessons:
Please ensure your children bring their musical instruments in each week as lessons will still be charged for. Lessons are now £2.85 per week. Any outstanding music fees in order for lessons to continue.

Parking:
Please do not park outside the school gates or on the double yellow lines or zigzags outside school. Thank you.
Dinner Money:
Lunches are now £1.80 per day - £9.00 per week and should be paid on a Monday morning. Please send dinner money in an envelope with your child’s name and class on.
There is a copy of the menus on our school portal. Next week we are on Week 1.
Morrison’s Vouchers:
If you have an ‘Lets Grow’ vouchers, could you please send them in as soon as possible as they have to be sent off by the end of November.
St. Martin’s Church:
St. Martin’s Church are having their Christmas Fair on Saturday 26th November 11.30-1.30pm. Admission 30p or buy a lucky programme.
Doorstep Project:
The play bus will be on Castleton Community Centre Car Park every Tuesday at 3.30pm – 5.30pm. There will be lots of Free activities for children.
Castleton Children’s Centre:
The free ‘Stay and Play Sessions’ are here at St. Edward’s on Wednesday mornings 9.15am-10.30am. There will be coffee and biscuits served in the community room at 9am before the session starts at 9.15am.
Reception, Year 1 & 2:
Your child will have received the Christmas Edition of the Puffin Book Club Catalogue. Any orders need to be in school by Friday 18th November. Thank you.
Christmas Fair:
We are holding our Christmas Fair on Friday 2nd December after school.
We are now collecting donations for ‘Good as New’, toys, books, etc.
If anyone has any contacts for donations for our raffle we would really appreciate it.
Pint Pots
Your child has received a plastic pint pot which please fill with sweets, pens, crayons, pencils, hair accessories, small new toys, etc – we will be selling them at the fair. Thank you.
Non-Uniform Day:
We are having a non-uniform day on 25th November for donations of chocolate for the Chocolate Hamper and bottles for the bottle tombola.
Manure:
We are selling bags of Manure for 50p per bag.
Get Your Child’s Hair Cut and Help to Raise Money for School:
If any child from our school has their hair cut at Regalia Hair on Manchester Road, the owner Ruth has generously offered to donate all the takings to school. Cuts are £5 and all the money donated will go back into school funds for the benefit of all the children here at St. Edwards.
