Shopkeeper threatened at knifepoint during robbery

A shop keeper was threatened at knifepoint during a robbery in Rochdale.
At about 4.45pm on Saturday 5 November 2011, the armed robber entered Drake Street News on Drake Street and threatened the owner, a 51-year-old woman, with a knife, while making demands for cash.
He then pushed the woman and stole some cash from the till before running away.
The offender is described as Asian, 5ft 10in tall, of broad build. He was dressed in dark clothing and had a scarf covering his face.
Detective Constable Amie Darnell, of Rochdale CID, said: “The woman has been left understandably upset by this incident and we are doing all we can to find the offender.
“If anyone was in the area at the time and saw him before or after the robbery or has any information whatsoever as to the identity of the thief please call us.”
