Thousands turn out for bonfire and fireworks extravaganza

Thousands of people descended on the Soccer Village, Milnrow, on Saturday night for a bonfire and fireworks extravaganza.
A spectacular array of fireworks filled the night sky as families huddled around the bonfire. There was also a host of attractions including a fun fair and live entertainment.
Tom Howarth, said: “The display was great – we have all had a great night.”
Charlotte Smythe, added: “It has been such a good night. I thought the fireworks were amazing.
“It is the best display around here.”
Soccer Village director Brett Beresford, said: “This is the fourth bonfire we have done now and it is going from strength to strength and hopefully it can continue in that way.
“We always push this as a family event and we hope that comes across well.”
