Taser used in armed robbery

Armed robbers subjected a couple to a terrifying ordeal after breaking into their home.
The couple, who live above Booze Zone Plus in Castleton, were woken by the offenders sometime between 4.30am and 5.10am on Friday (28 October).
One of the offenders Tasered a man before he and his wife were restrained.
The offenders stole cash, cigarettes and alcohol before leaving.
Both were wearing dark clothing and balaclavas. One was about 5ft 7in tall and of stocky build.
Detective Constable David Read, of Rochdale CID, said: “The couple were subjected to a frightening ordeal by these men and I am keen to hear from anyone with information about those responsible to come forward.
“Have you overheard anyone talking about this offence or been approached with a view to buying some cigarettes?
“I want to reassure residents we are working hard to bring these offenders to justice. If you have any information that may assist with our investigation then please call us.”
