Healey Primary School
Next week sees the continuation of the 4 week dance/drama session for Year 4 in collaboration with Oulder Hill School. This is during the school day. Well done to the whole school for the fabulous amount we raised in aid of Help the Heroes - £220! Also well done and thanks to the revamped PTA for the Spooky Disco held on Halloween.
This term, we are really focusing on attendance as this is so important to all children.
We are still continuing with the Walk to School Initiative throughout November. Children need to walk to school 3 times a week for the whole of the month to receive an enamel badge.
Work on the path is almost completed so this means that the children will be able to access the field without getting muddy. Next on the agenda is the garden area which is being developed by Mr Rhodes with donations of decking from James Ashworth (Waterfoot) and Howarth Timber (Milnrow Road). Many thanks for all of this, from all of us. We are hoping to install raised beds so that the garden area will be well drained and able to support planting. Look out all green fingered parents – your school needs you.
Well done to the following pupils who received the award last week:
Reception: Hansen Nicholas
Year 1: Aliya Mohammed
Year 2: Raniya Ali
Year 3: Jamie Watts
Year 4: Ethan Mew
Year 5: Alicia Darling
Year 6:Amaan Khan
We also had 100 per cent attendance from Year 4 – well done.
Please could all Football Sponsorship be sent in as soon as possible, the money raised will be used on outdoor play equipment for lunch times.
Whole school photographs are on Tuesday 15 November; as usual we are able to invite younger siblings for family group pictures. We will be sending out specific times etc next week.
The Christmas Celebrations will begin on 21 November with a performance of Sleeping Beauty for the whole school. Information has been sent out about this event.
