Pupils began the second half of the autumn term on Monday 31 October. The Enterprise word of the week is Initiative and for this half term the year 7 pupil’s will be focusing on Teamwork.

1 November 1 is All Saints Day and 2 November Feast of the Holy souls. Mass will be celebrated in College on Tuesday.

In the weekly assembly the Gideon society presented individual bibles to all year 7 pupils. A lovely gift to keep with them during their time at St Cuthbert’s.

A brilliant competition has been launched for year 7 pupils; The manager and deputy manager of Rochdale football club are willing to be interviewed by some of our pupils down at the football ground. No doubt there will be some opportunity to have a tour around the grounds and maybe meet a player or two!

To be able to take part in this it has been decided that we will run a small competition.
We would like year 7 pupils to write a short paragraph or two about why they think they should be the person to interview Rochdale’s manager and say how they think the College and its pupils could benefit from this opportunity.

They have a week to think about it and write their ideas down.

The pupils have been asked to hand in their work to their form teacher by Friday 4 November.

The "You have to be in to win" competition was won by Zara Tariq from form 7.7. Well done Zara
