Fire-fighters tackle bungalow blaze
Date published: 30 October 2011
Twenty fire-fighters tackled a blaze at a bungalow in Littleborough on Sunday morning.
Fire-fighters were called to Castle Bungalow, Castle Farm, Swaindrod Lane at 8.55am. On arrival they were faced with a bungalow that was well alight.
The fire service thought that there may have been persons in the building so the fire service attendance was increased to aid searching, and as water supplies were in short supply, to ferry water to the scene. No persons were found to be involved.
The cause of the fire is now the subject of a multi agency investigation.
The fire was extinguished using water jets and breathing apparatus.
