The Shamrocks have raised £970 for the Rochdale Sea Cadets.
The funds were raised from a concert night held at the Brickcroft Social Club.
The Shamrocks, previously a tug of war team, work throughout the year to raise funds for various charities and the Sea Cadets assist them at some of their functions.
Sub Lieutenant Viv Buckett Commanding Officer of Rochdale Sea Cadets said she hopes the link between the two organisations will continue for many years.
A cheque from the event was presented to Sub Lieutenant Viv Buckett from Gerry Sullivan, who has worked with the Shamrocks for over 50 years.
