Car on garage forecourt ‘deliberately’ set alight

A fire involving a car on a garage forecourt, which then spread to the roller shutter door of a building, is thought to have been started deliberately.
Two fire crews from Rochdale fire station were called to Rehman Motors on George Street shortly after 4.00pm on Sunday (23 October).
On arrival they were faced with a fire involving a Volvo car which had spread to a roller shutter door.
Crews used two hose reels and breathing apparatus.
