Post Office relocation

Castleton Post Office
Castleton Post Office, located at 858-860 Manchester Road, will close on Tuesday (25 October). The new branch at 817 Manchester Road will open on Monday 31 October.
The relocation of the Post Office was confirmed in September.
Letters have been sent to Castleton residents this week informing them of the move.
Writing to Castleton residents, Andy Wright, the Post Office Field Change Advisor, said: “I can now confirm that the branch will close at its current site on Tuesday 25 October 2011, with the new branch opening at the new location on Monday 31 October 2011.
“During this short period of closure customers requiring Post Office facilities may use any convenient Post office service.”
The two nearest Post Offices are:
Sudden Post Office, 408 Manchester Road, Rochdale, OL11 4PE.
Rochdale Post Office, The Esplanade, Rochdale, OL16 1AN.
Castleton resident, John Heyworth, said: “Whilst I support the relocation, given that the Post Office move has been known for quite some time I am a little disappointed that Castleton will be without the service for a week. Surely as one branch closes the other should be ready to open.”
