The Rochdale Photographic Society has appointed its new President for 2011/12.
Patricia Noon was named as the new President at the Society’s Annual General Meeting.
Mrs Noon will take over from Harry Muncaster who served for 2010/11.
The Society was founded by John Bright MP in 1890 and has been run by enthusiasts ever since. Mrs Noon said she is “honoured” to be taking over as president.
This year over 600 people attended an annual exhibition in Rochdale town centre, under Mr Muncaster’s presidency. The society has since welcomed over ten new members as a result of interest generated by the exhibition.
The Society meets at Rochdale Unitarian Church Clover Street, Rochdale, OL12 6TP on Wednesdays 7:45pm
