Get Your Child’s Hair Cut and Help to Raise Money for School:
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of Half Term, if your child has their hair cut at Regalia Hair on Manchester Road, the owner Ruth has generously offered to donate all the takings to school. Cuts are £5 and all the money donated will go back into school funds for the benefit of all the children here at St. Edwards.
If you would like to book an appointment, phone Ruth on 346347.

Yellow Moon:
Your child will have received the Christmas Yellow Moon Catalogue. Any orders need to be sent off directly to Yellow Moon and school will receive up to 20% of any orders taken.

Operation Christmas Child:
Your child will have received a leaflet with details of the Shoe Box Appeal. The boxes need to be in by Friday 18th November at the latest.

Halloween Bingo – 31 October:
Come and join the fun on 31 October. Doors open 6.00pm; eyes down 6.30pm. Entrance (including a drink of juice and a biscuit) – 50p child; £1 adult; £2 family ticket (2 adults + 2/3 children). Books + flyers £1.
There will be prizes for the best child and adult fancy dress costume.

Book Fair:
Many thanks for supporting our Book Fair. You spent a fantastic £405.67 on books and earned us £183 worth of books which are now in classrooms around school.

Music Lessons:
Please ensure your children bring their musical instruments in each week as lessons will still be charged for. Lessons are now £2.85 per week. Any outstanding music fees in order for lessons to continue.

Friday - Guitar

Dinner Money:
Lunches are now £1.80 per day - £9.00 per week and should be paid on a Monday morning. Please send dinner money in an envelope with your child’s name and class on.

Morrison’s Vouchers:
Well are now collecting the ‘Lets Grow’ vouchers from Morrisons.

School Photographs:
The whole school will be having their photographs taken on Monday 7th November.

Lost Bike:
There was a yellow and black Mitro bike left in the cycle shed before the summer holidays. If this belongs to anyone, please contact school.

Doorstep Project:
The play bus will be on Castleton Community Centre Car Park every Tuesday at 3.30pm – 5.30pm. There will be lots of Free activities for children.

Castleton Children’s Centre:
The free ‘Stay and Play Sessions’ are here at St. Edward’s on Wednesday mornings 9.15am-10.30am. There will be coffee and biscuits served in the community room at 9am before the session starts at 9.15am.

Text Messaging Service:
We are continuing to use our text messaging service and in some cases, instead of sending letters out. Therefore it is extremely important that you ensure you keep school up-to-date with any change in mobile phone numbers.

Half Term:
School is closed for Half term from Friday 21st October till Monday 31st October.
