Student finance made easy by the experts

Date published: 13 October 2011

Student Finance England has unveiled its new range of resources for education professionals.

The company is urging teachers and advisors in the North West to access the easy to use resources to help prospective students with their university and finance choices in 2012/13.

The dedicated website is aimed at keeping the education community informed with the most up-to-date, official information and guidance on the changes to student funding next year.

It contains a wide range of support materials, from videos and presentations to information sheets and a downloadable key dates guide for students. Information is also available for students with children, part-time students or students with disabilities.

Jon Legg, the Student Finance England’s advisor for North-West England explained: “Our 15,000 partners across England are working really hard to make sure that the students they deal with have the right information to help them make their decisions.

“The changes to the student finance system next year are substantial and there’s a lot of information out there about what this might mean.

“We’ve developed a new range of resources designed with our partners’ students in mind. The resources include videos and presentations to help teachers explain the student finance process to students and their parents or partners.”

The resources, including the ‘Myths and Facts’ film and ‘key dates’ guide are now available: www.practitioners.studentfinanceengland.co.uk
