Swimming Training:
Year 5/6 swimming training is on Friday mornings. Please be at Castleton baths by 8.30am.

Book Fair:
The Book Fair is on in the hall after school each day until Wednesday.

Eco News:
Tomorrow we have 17 staff from schools from all over the country coming in for an open day. We will be sharing our expertise and knowledge around sustainability.

Glee/Singing Club – Yrs 3 & 4:
This Club starts on Friday and will run after school each Friday until 4.15pm.

Morrison’s Vouchers:
Well are now collecting the ‘Lets Grow’ vouchers from Morrisons.

KS1 Stars of the Week:
This week’s KS1 stars of the week are:
Zain Aleem RP; Leah Roberts RP; Kobe Fearn RD’ Ellie Hobson 1G; Trinity Phillips-Brady 1G; Ethan Towers 1B; Kayleigh Hicks 1B; Urooj Aleem 2B; Ellie Rook 2B; Brook Farrington 2D and Evie Gregory 2D. Well Done.

Thank You:
We have had a letter from the Petrus Charity to say a BIG thank you to for all the donations sent in for this Charity. It is very much appreciated.

Music Lessons:
Please ensure your children bring their musical instruments in each week as lessons will still be charged for. Lessons are now £2.85 per week. Any outstanding music fees in order for lessons to continue.
Monday – Clarinet
Tuesday – Brass
Friday - Guitar

Dinner Money:
Lunches are now £1.80 per day - £9.00 per week and should be paid on a Monday morning. Please send dinner money in an envelope with your child’s name and class on.
There is a copy of the menus on our school portal. Next week we are on Week 1.

‘Go Pink’ Day:
Next Friday 21 October, we are asking children to come to school in something pink and to please bring a minimum donation of 50p to help us raise funds for Breast Cancer. Thank you.

Doorstep Project:
The play bus will be on Castleton Community Centre Car Park every Tuesday at 3.30pm – 5.30pm. There will be lots of Free activities for children.

Castleton Children’s Centre:
The free ‘Stay and Play Sessions’ are here at St. Edward’s on Wednesday mornings 9.15am-10.30am. There will be coffee and biscuits served in the community room at 9am before the session starts at 9.15am.

Text Messaging Service:
We are continuing to use our text messaging service and in some cases, instead of sending letters out. Therefore it is extremely important that you ensure you keep school up-to-date with any change in mobile phone numbers.
