Healey Primary School
Next week on Tuesday and Wednesday it is Parents Evenings for all years except Reception Class. All parents should have received a letter inviting them to make an appointment to see the class teacher. It is also the Football Week so children are advised to have their kit in school every day. If the rain eventually stops falling and the playground areas are dry, some football lessons will be held outside so please make sure trainers and track suit bottoms are included.
On Wednesday the Rhema Theatre Company are coming in to perform for all children from Year 2 upwards, following a special assembly for the whole school. We are asking for a £2 donation towards the cost of this production. The donations from parents help us to offset the costs, and take advantage of a wider range of exciting activities.
On Friday the School Council are holding a special Non – Uniform Day for “Help for Heroes”. This is instead of the ‘pink day’ we hold on this day every year. The School Council are invbiting all children to come dressed as their hero – this can be anyone from Superhero to a member of the family or a character from a book. The children are asking for a £1 donation for the Help for Heroes Day.
Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Cup last week.

The PTA held a meeting this week, they are keen to share their ideas for raising money to create a special parent and child meeting place in the school grounds. They understand everyone is busy, so with this in mind they are planning to set up a Healey PTA Facebook page to share ideas. If we have any parents who are particularly skilled with Facebook, please let us know – we may need your brain!
Reminder for music money please. Closing date for payment is 14 October and all bills must be settled by then in accordance with the music agreement.
