Appeal after man suffers broken jaw in unprovoked attack

CCTV image of man wanted following unprovoked assault
Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace a man wanted in connection with an unprovoked assault that left another man with a broken jaw.
At about 4.00am on Friday (30 September), a 40-year-old man was on Drake Street, Rochdale, with a friend, when he was punched in the face.
The force of the blow knocked the man to the ground. He was taken to hospital for treatment to a broken jaw.
The offender walked off after the attack and got into a car that was driven off along Bury Road.
Police Constable Mike Bishop, said: “The victim suffered serious injuries in a completely unprovoked attack and we are keen to identify the man in the CCTV image.
“If anyone knows who he is please get in touch.
“All information will be treated in strict confidence.”
