Our 'Favourite Moment On Stage' Competition comes to a close this week and we will judge the three best entries and issue them with prizes and certificates shortly. Many thanks to all the pupils who submitted entries. The quality of submissions was very high.

Many thanks to all the families and friends of school who came along to our Open Evening this week. We were delighted that so many came along to show support and interest in our successful school. Many thanks to all the pupils who supported the day and evening as guides, musicians, performers, exhibitors and so forth.

Thanks to Spiral Dance, Just Poets and Skylight Circus who lent their support to our Open Evening event by holding a special stall. We are delighted to confirm that the three organisations will soon by in residence at our school and working closely with our pupils. More information on this fantastic long term venture will be released shortly.

Year 7 learners will participate in a day long PSHEE experience within school on the 18th of October. The students will study various aspects of Personal, Social, Health and Emotional Education through a variety of lessons. We welcome Norman Warwick, performance poet into school to help us on this day and learners will get the opportunity to ask questions to a Justice of Peace as they examine the legal system.

Auditions for our school pantomime, 'Sleeping Beauty' are now at an end but if you are still wanting to take part and missed the opportunity then please see Mr Mvula in the CEPA Office as soon as possible. Tickets for our forthcoming December show are now available in school from the CEPA Office at breaktimes and lunchtimes. Many thanks to all the learners who auditioned for our shows.

Drama Club continues to take place every Wednesday after school in G12 until 4.00pm. We are delighted to maintain a twenty strong group but of course, we welcome new members from any year. Please see Mr De Courcey or Mr Mvula if you are interested and would like more information.

Year 11 will have the opportunity to go to a Future First event on Wednesday 12 October. Everyone must make sure they return their permission slips to Mrs Ellis in Pupil Reception, so that they are able to go. They will be able to ask colleges and universities questions about courses and will have the opportunity to consider apprenticeships.

All year 7 pupils will be watching a Bonfire Night Presentation in the hall on Thursday 20 October at 1.30pm.

The school photographer will be in school to take photographs of Year 7 and year 11 pupils only on Thursday 13 October. Please ensure that your child is smartly dressed for school, with buttoned up shirt, tie worn correctly and that girls have no makeup on. Thank you.
