A warm welcome was given to all our VIP visitors who joined us for lunch this week.
Mums dads and grandparents enjoyed a delicious lunch with their children on Wednesday and Thursday. The roast turkey was particularly tasty. A huge thank you to all of our kitchen staff who worked so hard to prepare the extra meals.
Reception class have been learning more letter sounds and making new words. Their classroom is full of beautiful stars, birds and butterflies…part of their work on God’s wonderful world.
Year 1 children have been writing fantasy stories about pirate adventures.
Year 2 have been designing a throne fort the White Witch of Narnia.
Year 3 have been to Jorvik Viking Centre in York. This was an amazing experience for all the children.
Year 4 enjoyed being Tudor boys and girls this week at Clarke Hall in Wakefield. They dressed for the role and lived like Tudor children for the day, even preparing their own lunch Tudor style.
Year 5 have been working hard on all their writing techniques to produce a great story for all to enjoy.
Year 6 have been finding out where all the theme parks around the country are sited. They have used their atlases to locate them.
Year 3 celebrated Holy Mass this week with Father Joe.
Year 2 led the whole school with an assembly inspired by the work of CAFOD
Reception and Year 1 enjoyed a visit to M6 theatre.
We wish our singers in Year 3 great success as they perform at St Patrick’s Multiculture Event on Sunday.
Congratulations to Year 4 with 100 per cent attendance last week. They are a great example to everyone.
Please remember that all pupils should be in the playground each morning at five to nine so as to enter the building with their classmates on time.
