Celebrity fundraiser planned for hospice

Date published: 29 September 2011

As part of this year’s ‘Hospice Care Week’ Springhill Hospice will be holding a ‘Celebrity Call My Bluff’ event.

The event, based on the long-running BBC panel game, is open to teams of four who have to guess which definition, read out by the celebrity panelists, is the true meaning of particular words.

Panelists confirmed for the event are Eric Potts, former Coronation Street Baker Diggory Compton, and the Street’s Hayley Cropper, Julie Hesmondhalgh.

Sarah Ford, Income Services Lead at the Hospice, said: “There will be a third panelist, who many people will know from another well-loved soap, but I’ll let that one be a surprise!”

Hospice Care Week runs from 8-14 October. The celebrity event will take place at the Hospice on Broad Lane on Thursday 13 October, commencing at 7:30pm.

Tickets for the Celebrity Call My Bluff are £20 per team of four and available from Springhill Hospice on 01706 649920.
