Date published: 28 September 2011

At Hollingworth this week we celebrated the successes of our pupils by holding Presentation Evenings for KS3 & KS4. We would like to thank parents, carers and staff for attending the evenings and well done to pupils who received an award for all their hard work.

We would like to invite all parents of prospective pupils to our open evening on Wednesday 5 October. College will be open from 6.00pm onwards with the Headteacher, Mr Randle, opening the evening with a speech in the theatre at 6.15pm. The speech will be repeated at 7.15pm. There will be car parking available but will be limited. Please be aware college grounds are uneven and still under construction.

On Monday 10 October year 6 pupils from local primary schools will be spending the day with us. They will be working within different departments to get a feel for life at Hollingworth. College will be closed to Hollingworth pupils for staff training.

Well done to the 27 pupils who went on the Winmarleigh Hall PGL activity weekend. The trip was a huge success and the students (and staff) had a great time. The students did Hollingworth proud and were highly praised by several PGL leaders.

First Lego League Challenge:
The D&T team would like to invite Years 7, 8 and 9 to take part in the ‘First Lego League Challenge’. You will be working as part of a team to solve problems, develop strategies and build and program a Lego Robot.
