Wardle Village Church

Date published: 26 September 2011

We have had a busy week this week. We had a packed church last Sunday at our annual Harvest Service when the Brownies and Rainbows came to our service bringing lots of Harvest gifts. The Service was led by Rev. Andrew Howell and the address was given by Catherine Aden, Headteacher at St James' Primary School. Our theme was Africa and as each member of the congregation left Church they were given a "Jar of Grace" envelope for Self Help Africa to be brought back at our Christingle service in November.

Our celebrations were further enhanced on Monday when the children from the Infants at St James' Primary School came for their Harvest service. The children amazed us with the different words that can be made from the word harvest and also brought more gifts!!

Many thanks to everyone who brought gifts to the service which were taken to Family Action who support families in Rochdale with help and advice.

Our Service this Sunday will be led by Rev. Mike Winch at 10.45am to which all are invited.

Mother and Baby/Toddler group meet every Monday and Wednesday from 9.30-Noon. Come along for a chat, activities and light refreshment.

This Month our Soup and Roll event will be held on Tuesday 11 October from 12.30 pm-2.00pm. Watch out for our Autumn Fair to be held in November.
