The Reception children are on the third induction week starting 19 September. The children will be staying for lunch so ‘morning’ children will be ready for collection at 12:15pm and ‘afternoon’ children need to be in school at 11:30am. The menus for the first week are kept quite simple for the new children and staff are in the hall to support all of the children during this next step. Parents are reminded that dinner money is payable Monday and is £9 per week. It is possible to pay for a month of dinners (£36) or up to the half term break (£45). Dinner money should be sent in a clearly named envelope and is handed in by the child at registration time.

Well done to the children who were presented with the first Achievement Award of this year:

Year 1: Leia Watson
Year 2: Ved Keshe
Year 3: Harison Smith
Year 4: Lauren McHale
Year 5: Callum Jackson
Year 6: Antony Grindrod

Year 2 had 100% attendance for the first week back, well done.

Next week, Year 4 are taking part in a Roman Invasion workshop on Thursday morning and on Friday the whole school (except Mrs Collinge’s class) are invited to watch the Eco musical “Robin and the Withering Wood” at a cost of £2 per child.

Music lessons have started: Cello lessons are Monday, Brass / keyboard (Yrs 3 & 4) lessons are Tuesday, Violin lessons are Wednesday, Woodwind / keyboards (Yrs 5 & 6) and drumming lessons are Thursday. We are waiting for the Music Service to get back to us about guitar lessons.

We have had a number of children who have forgotten PE kit already. Please check with your child when PE lessons are happening.

The Francis House Appeal has gone well: sock purses are all sold out, six sparkle key rings are left and we have ordered more of the noisy cameras which should be here by next week.
