Falinge Park High School
Last term some pupils from school submitted some ghost stories for a competition that was run by the National Young Writers Association. We have recently been notified that several of our entries have been selected for publication which is a fantastic achievement. The pupils who successfully submitted entries to be published are: Toni Ellis, Iram Tariq, Reece McAllister, Fozia Sultana, Nazish Begum, Rezwana Begum, Annesah Khan, Zareena Saleem, Rachel Lopresti, Thamanna Khatun, Suhbaan Hassan, Mehran Khan, Abbey Smith, Faith Donegan, Maria Mahmood, Hannah Sastawnyuk.
The Arts Learning Champions for this academic year will be having training on Thursday 22 September from 3.00pm until 5.30pm. Everyone should meet in the Hall promptly.
The Duke of Edinburgh students should leave on their first qualifying expedition of the year on Friday 23 September. They will be on a 2 day camping expedition starting in West Bradford and finishing in Downham. 27 pupils will be taking part.
The pupils who visited Lancaster to see the mask and puppetry exhibition with Mr. DeCourcey on Saturday had a great time and found the masks amazing.
Drama Club will be starting on Wednesday 14 September in the Drama Studio (G12). It will start at 2.45pm until 3.45pm. Come along and enjoy a dramatic hour of fun.
Our Open Evening for Year 6 parents is Monday 3 October 2011 from 6.45pm.
