Hollingworth Business and Enterprise College.
We would like to welcome everyone back after the summer and welcome to Hollingworth BEC all new staff and pupils. Everyone is doing a fantastic job finding their way around our new building.
Reminder to pupils:
Punctuality: It is College policy that pupils arrive in college at 8.40am to allow them to be in their Tutor Rooms no later than 8.45am. Pupils arriving after this time will be marked late by their Tutor and must attend a break time detention. Failure to attend this break time detention results in a 1 hour detention after college on Friday of the same week. Please ensure you are punctual to registration to avoid punishment.
Mobile phones:
Mobile phones must be switched off when the first bell goes, and cannot be switched back on until the last bell of the day. You may not check your messages, or check the time; the phone must remain out of sight throughout the day otherwise it will be confiscated. If you have your phone confiscated three times, it will not be returned to you and a parent/carer will have to come to the College to collect and sign for it.
All pupils:
If you are ill you must report to the main reception with a note from your teacher. If it is necessary, college will contact your parents. Under no circumstances must anyone leave the college premises without first checking at the main reception. Please note: - If you are leaving college for any reason, i.e. a doctor’s or a dental appointment, you must have written permission (a pink slip) from your Head of Year before signing out at reception.
The morning homework club will be held in the LRC each Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8.00am. Commencing Monday 19 September.
A reminder to all year 7, 8 & 9 students. You will be expected to remove your shoes and socks for all dance and drama lessons in the theatre. If you wear tights you must bring either shorts or tracksuit bottoms to change into.
Lost property:
There are several umbrellas and some locker keys in lost property. Please ask at Reception if you have lost anything over the last week.
