A Hopwood Hall College student is celebrating after securing a university place.
Sana Musa from Rochdale began her journey at the College on a Level 2 Diploma in Digital Applications for IT users. On achieving a Merit, she progressed onto a Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Business, where she has achieved the highest grade possible - a triple distinction.
Her top grades have secured her a place at Bolton University to study Business Management and Marketing.
Miss Musa said: “After I have completed my course at university I would like to go into an organisation and work within the marketing sector.
“I have enjoyed the last two years on my business course and this is the reason why I wanted to continue studying business further at university.
“The marketing unit particularly took my interest and helped me decide on the career route to pursue.”
According to Miss Musa’s teacher, her excellent grades were down to pure hard work and dedication; she achieved 100 per cent attendance on her course and was always very open to constructive feedback.
In addition to studying hard, she also threw herself into college life in a variety of ways including holding the responsibility of vice student class representative.
Tutor Elaine Morley, said: “Sana works well independently due to her own dedication and motivation to do well; however, she has also developed well as a team worker through empathising and understanding others within her peer group.
“An approachable, extremely likeable young lady, Sana’s progression from Level 2 to Degree level has been achieved through proactively working with constructive feedback, excellent time management skills and a keenness and willingness to learn.
“A great inspiration to others around her.”
