High flyer heads to university

Danielle Wood
A Hopwood Hall College student is celebrating after attaining the highest grade achievable in her course and securing a place at university.
Danielle Wood has been studying BTEC Business at the College for the past two years and her hard work resulted in a triple distinction (DDD) grade.
She has now been accepted at Salford University to study a Business Management Degree over 4 years.
Staff at the College have praised Miss Wood for her enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge as well as her ‘outstanding attendance and punctuality record.’
Miss would is delighted with her results and described her course as “interesting and enjoyable.”
Miss Wood, who is volunteer swimming teacher and has a leadership qualification from the Girl Guide Association, is now looking forward to starting her university studies.
Her tutor, Elaine Morley, said: “She has been an absolute pleasure to teach, always happy, polite and positive.
“She has great attributes in that she is reliable, trustworthy, helpful, dedicated and hardworking, with great interpersonal skills.
“Danielle works well in any group, and has played a major role in each team successfully achieving a positive outcome in the task given.”
