Crews tackle caravan fire in Heywood

Fire-fighters tackled a fire involving a caravan and a portable cabin in Heywood in the early hours of Wednesday morning (24 August).

Crews were called to Bury New Road shortly before 2.00am. On arrival they were faced with a fire involving a caravan in the open which then spread to the cabin.

Fire-fighters used a jet to extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
