Sonae factory death - no police action

Merseyside Police has confirmed that no police action will be taken following the death of a Heywood man at the Sonae plant.
James Dennis Kay, 62, suffered fatal injuries at the chipboard factory earlier this month.
Detectives have handed the enquiry in full over to the Health and Safety Executive, whose own investigation remains ongoing.
A joint investigation, led by the police, was launched after Mr Kay died at industrial premises in Moss Lane, Kirkby, on Saturday, August 6, 2011.
Mr Kay, was employed by a company responsible for demolition on a section of the Sonae site damaged by a fire at the beginning of June this year.
This part of the site was no longer in use due to the damage caused by the fire and was under the control of the demolition company, which was the principal contractor.
A post mortem examination carried out to establish a cause of death proved inconclusive and the pathologist has decided to with hold his findings until the results from further tests are known.
