Police and paramedics were called to Market Street Whitworth following reports of an argument outside an address on Market Street at around 10.00pm on Sunday (14 August).

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Gray from Lancashire Constabulary’s Major Investigation Team said: "Our investigation into this incident continues and we have interviewed many people in and around the local area.
"However, I would urge anybody that was passing through the Market Street area of Whitworth on Sunday night that witnessed anything they believe could assist us with our enquires to contact us.
