Man wanted in connection with aggravated burglary

Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with an aggravated burglary in Heywood.

David Holt, 29, from the Heywood area is wanted for questioning in relation to the incident.

Shortly after 12.15am on Sunday (14 August), three men knocked on the door of a property on Goldbrook Close, Heywood. When the resident answered, the three men forced entry into the address and began to punch the 34-year-old victim in his head and body. The offenders were disturbed by a neighbour during the attack and escaped through a back window of the property. The victim suffered a fractured jaw and eye socket.

Steven Kinsella, 21, of Derwent Avenue, Heywood has been charged with burglary and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

A 17-year-old man from Heywood has also been charged with burglary and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Both have been remanded to prison and are due to appear at Bolton Crown Court on 30 August 2011.

A 21-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary has been bailed until 27 September 2011 pending further inquiries.
