New English translation of the Missal:

We will begin to use the new English translation of the Missal on Sunday 4 September. There will be Mass cards to help you. These have already been purchased.

Irene Turner is taking orders for New Missals (which will be available from Oct/Nov) for you to buy from the Gift Shop; they will make very fine Christmas presents.

Please use the Order Forms in the Gift Shop to place your order. Information regarding cost, colours etc will be known to us soon. Please note there are two Order Forms one for Daily Missals and one for Sunday Missals.

Many congratulations to Sister Leonie who celebrated the Golden Jubilee of her religious profession on 15 August. May she have many more years of good health and happiness! Please remember her and all members of religious orders in your prayers. And pray for vocations.

Sacramental programme 2011-12:

If you have a child in Year 3 and does not attend St Patrick's or Alice Ingham Primary School and wish them to receive the sacraments at

St Patrick's next year then please contact Fr Joe or Karen 01706 645710 as soon as possible so that they can be included in the programme.

There will be a meeting for all Children's Liturgy Leaders on Monday 30th August at 6.00pm in the parish house.

Our next Coffee Morning & Cake stall will be held on Sunday 4th September after the 10.00am Mass.

Our next Social Committee Meeting will be held on Wednesday 14th September at 6.00pm. New members would be made very welcome. Please come and join us!

Parish Christmas Fair: Saturday 3 December – 11.00am start in the Pennine Suite and School Hall.
