Car overturns on Rooley Moor Road

A car overturned on Rooley Moor Road this evening (Monday 15 August).
Emergency services were called to the scene, close to the junction of Preston Street, shortly before 6.00pm.
A black Peugeot 206 flipped onto its roof and eye witnesses reported that a woman fled the scene.
One witness said: “I just heard a massive bang and came out and the car was overturned.”
Another said: “She got out and ran down the street.”
Paramedics searched the area and a woman, who’s faced was covered in blood, was found.
The woman, 32, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, making off without payment and theft.
UPDATE: The woman has been bailed until 1 September pending further enquiries.
