More acts added to festival line up

Three more acts have just been added to the line up for the Rochdale Feel Good Festival.

Guitarist and singer Owen Barratt will make his debut at the festival. The talented musician and songwriter plays relaxing melodic folk.

He’ll be joined by Jo Rose, a young Manchester based singer-songwriter already getting rave reviews for his compelling live performances.

Also playing will be the country music act ‘Blind Atlas’. Their EP ‘Iron Wall’ was released earlier this year, and the video for one of their tracks was named ‘Video of the Week’ by BBC6 Music. Already getting airplay on BBC Radio 2, the band have supported Liam Frost and are rapidly establishing a great reputation for their classic Northern twist on American alternative country music.

The trio will perform acoustic sets at a ‘Music on the Menu’ event held at Bar 5 on South Parade on Saturday 3 September from 12.00pm – 4.00pm.

Event Organiser Debbie O’Brien said this year’s line-up is looking like the best yet: “We have a fabulous mix of styles this year, with something for everyone. This acoustic afternoon at Bar 5 is a chance to relax and enjoy some fantastic live music from some of the regions best singer songwriters and maybe a bite to eat. Whatever you’re into there will be something for you at the festival, and a chance to see something new too.”
