The official venues for the Rochdale Feel Good Festival have been announced. Six indoor venues will be hosting live music performances during the summer celebration of entertainment, food and culture.

The Flying Horse Hotel (Town Hall Square), Touchstones Arts and Heritage Centre (The Esplanade), and Bar 5 (South Parade) will all stage free live music during the event.

The Litten Tree (Fleece Street) will host a BBC Introducing in Manchester stage, and the East Bar and Club (South Parade) will host a ‘Feel Good - Battle of the Bands’ competition on Thursday 14 July, with the winner being selected to open the main stage. And if you fancy something a bit different as part of your festival experience, Rochdale Town Hall will be hosting a recital by one of the country’s very best young organists - Jonathan Scott.

In addition to a full programme of live music in the indoor venues the festival includes a big main stage sponsored by The Flying Horse Hotel, and a 2 day festival market. The Fun Lovin’ Criminals headline on Saturday, alongside Badly Drawn Boy and Frankie & the Heartstrings plus many others. Celebrity chefs including Ainsley Harriott and Andrew Nutter will appear in the festivals Celebrity Food Kitchen.

The Rochdale Feel Good Festival will be staged on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 September
