Four flee house fire caused by unattended food on cooker

Four people escaped a house fire which started after a pan that had been left unattended on a cooker caught fire.
Fire crews were called to the house on Shawclough Road shortly before 10.15 today (23 July).
When the fire service arrived, the two women, a man and a young child, were already out of the house.
An elderly man was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and minor burns to his hands.
