Heywood cooking fire

A 39-year-old woman was led to safety through a ground floor window, by her neighbour, when a cooking fire broke out in a Heywood flat.
Fire-fighters were called to South Avenue shortly before 7.30pm on Wednesday night (20 July) where they were faced with a cooking fire, which started when it had been left unattended.
Three fire crews from Heywood and Bury attended.
The woman declined hospital treatment.
