No charges following abandoned baby claim

Police search near Scout Moor back in May
No action will be taken against a 28-year-old woman from Bury who claimed a baby had been abandoned by the side of a road in Edenfield, near Rochdale.
Police began a major search following a report that a newborn baby had been dumped on 10 May. A blood-stained blanket in a bag was found on Rochdale Road but there was no trace of the baby, or the mother.
The woman who was arrested and bailed has been released without charge.
