Six staff members from the Uniformed Public Services department at Hopwood Hall College have been involved in creating a new book for charity. The book ‘Teaching Tomorrow’ is designed to support new trainee teachers.

The book encourages trainee teachers to consider more modern, creative and relevant teaching techniques.

The book has many innovative contributors, including them team from Hopwood Hall College; readers are provided with the opportunity to explore the rich variety of original and inventive approaches to teaching.

Vicky Duckworth from Edge Hill University approached the staff, all of whom were extremely excited to become part of the writing team. Ms Duckworth asked the staff to describe the approaches to teaching they use in their classrooms, and to give their ideas for supporting new trainee teachers.

Curriculum Manager Terry Morley who has helped edit the book said: “I was honoured when my staff and I were asked to contribute to the book and help support people wanting to get into teaching.”
