Falinge Park High School Prom 2011

Date published: 14 July 2011

Young men and women from Falinge Park High School joined together on Thursday night (14 July) for their end of school prom.

School leavers from the school chose the Village Hotel in Bury for their final gathering – and they certainly arrived in style.

The students pulled out all the stops in terms of dresses, suits, hair and make-up and of course transport.

The teens arrived in Range Rovers, convertibles, limousines and even a wagon!

Head teacher, Robin Lonsdale, said: “They are a great year group. We are tinged with sadness that they are leaving and excitement to see what they do in August.”

Sixteen-year-old student Jessica McLellan described the school as “great” she said: “I have made loads of great friends.

“In September I am going to Bury College to study beauty therapy.”

Thomas Roberts and Paul Jackson, both 16, say they enjoyed school but are ready to leave. Thomas is looking forward to an apprenticeship in gas and electric whilst Paul is going to Bury College to study Biology, Chemistry, History and Law.
